Analog / Digital Mixers

These tracks were first mixed on a Mackie 8 buss analog mixer and then mixed at a different studio on a Yamaha O2R digital mixer . Track 1 reveals the the sonic quality of a digital mix verses analog mix when acoustic instruments are involved. Track 2 highlights the sonic results of keyboard/MIDI R&B mixed through the O2R as compared to the same 24 track R&B song mixed through the Mackie 8 Buss analog board. These songs were originally recorded using a 24 track, 16 bit MDM.

Note: On some tracks the order of one pair of A/B comparisons is sometimes reversed to allow for an objective listening. Instructions for viewing all "B/A" identifications can be found at the bottom of page 15 of The A/B CD booklet.
